Stacking Wedding Bands?

Stacking Wedding Bands?

Are you interested in finding a wedding band or two? Have you considered stacking them?

Welcome back, reader! In this article we will explore wedding band options for your engagement ring. A little about me: My name is Andrea and I have been working in the luxury jewelry industry for over 10 years. I currently work in a local jewelry store, Saxon’s Diamond Centers, in Harford County, MD that has been in the community for over 65 years. As a team at Saxon’s, we have over 200 years of combined experience and I will be sharing with you some of our tips, advice, and feedback through this blog.

Congratulations on your engagement! Is your big day coming soon and you have an overwhelming list of things to check off? Is finding the perfect wedding band one of the items on your list? Fear not, here at Saxon’s we help! We’ve been helping couples find their perfect wedding sets for over 65 years.

Traditionally, the bride has one wedding band which is worn next to her engagement ring, closer to her heart. However, a more recent trend we have seen adds a second band to the other side of the engagement ring, creating a more balanced appearance. Some couples wait to buy the second band as a 1st or 5th wedding anniversary gift, making the ring symbolic of their lasting love. That being said, for the brides who choose to start with a more symmetrical look purchase both bands at the same time.

There are many advantages of having bands to stack, and not just the look of added sparkle. If you are going on a trip, volunteering in the city, or going someplace where you do not want to wear your beautiful engagement ring, then stacked wedding bands are a gorgeous option while your engagement ring stays safely at home. For any of our readers who need to wear latex gloves at work, stacked bands are a great alternative to wearing your wedding set as they have a low profile on the finger and will not snag the glove. Also, each additional band beyond your wedding band can have a special symbolic meaning. Maybe you got your second band for your anniversary? Or you purchased another band after having a child? There are so many amazing hallmarks in life that can be celebrated with a stacking band!

Here are a couple of wedding bands we have available at the store that are perfect for stacking:

If your wedding is 2 months or 2 years away, we recommend that you buy your bands now as it is one more thing you can cross off of your list.
